Photography
Room 13 have been using their photography skills around the school grounds. They have considered perspective, background, foreground and the rule of thirds while snapping some incredible photos. These photos are part of their Ag Day judged art.
Collage Selfies
In the style of our recent "Chalk Selfies", we decided to reverse the process and collage natural materials and craft materials onto a photo of ourselves. This brought about lots more discussions about perspective and turned out to be heaps of fun. Some student cut their photo out and created an entirely new background. We loved the variety when we looked around at each others' interpretations.
Chalk Selfies
Students have been busy practicing their photography skills this term. We decided that it would be fun to combine our photography skills with an exploration of perspective. Following along with our Street Art theme for this year, we researched online and found a cool idea to experiment with: Chalk Selfies. Unfortunately, the weather this term has not really been our friend and many a fabulous artwork was washed away completely or simply speckled with rain before it was finished. However, we persevered and after lots of experimentation with shadows, colour depth, perspective and simplicity, many students created a masterpiece to share.
